2006 WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY

The 2006 Wednesday Night Bible Study led by Barbara Pappas will take place each Wednesday evening from October 4th through November 8th, between 7:15-8:30 p.m.

The topic of discussion this year will be St. Paul’s First Epistle to the Corinthians, a faithful guide for those trying to live a Christian life in the modern world.

The new edition of Barbara’s work:  First & Second Corinthians: a Study of Paul’s Letters will serve as the main text.  Copies are available in HARC at a 20% discount for those who will attend the class.  Everyone is welcome.

The first (October 4th) session of the six-week offering will deal with what the Bible and the Fathers of the early Church tell us about what God expects of those who call themselves Christians and the support the Church offers to those who try respond in a way that pleases Him.  This will be contrasted with the distractions and impediments posed by secular society, as informed by current events.
