Junior Olympics

The Junior Olympics takes place on Memorial Day weekend when parishes
gather to compete in varying sports and activities. Categories are open to those
ages 7-18 and include basketball, swimming, track and field, softball, volleyball,
soccer, chess, checkers, backgammon, ping-pong, & much more. Holy Apostle's
parish team practices prior to the event, and it offers a wonderful way for our
youth to join in fellowship doing something they love. The Junior Olympics aims
to live its mission, which is rooted in St. Paul's Second Letter to Timothy: "…If
anyone competes as an athlete, they do not win the prize unless they compete
according to the rules. Remember, therefore Jesus Christ Risen from the dead..."
2 Timothy 2:5-8

GOAL Basketball

Holy Apostles offers an opportunity for all youth ages 8-18 to play as a part of
a traveling GOAL Basketball League. Children are placed into appropriate
age and gender teams and participate against other parishes in the
Metropolis throughout the basketball season.
